“Opportunities” was the focus of Casa Hogar’s 6th Annual Fundraiser. The evening was luxurious and inspiring with generous attendees contributing to record high donations, achieving the established goal of $550,000 USD.
Hosted by Ed & Pat Peterson and co-hosted by Willy & Cherie Jordan, the Draney Family and Richard & Nancy Rogers, the stunning outdoor event designed by Amy Abbot Events was held at Las Ventanas Al Paraiso on March 3, 2016. All in attendance were entertained by the heartfelt performance of Fernando Allende, famed Mexican Singer and Actor, during the impeccably timed three-course, plated dinner. Guests were also delighted to see the return pairing of hilarious emcees John Henson and Michael Miller, as they encouraged donation support and bids for outstanding auction items during the main event of the evening.
Casa Hogar operates entirely on donations and relies almost exclusively on this annual event to ensure everyday expenses are covered for the boys: food, clothing and opportunities for personal development such as academics, sports and fine arts. All the donations committed at the Fundraiser (as well as those provided leading up to the event and in the days following) will help keep Casa Hogar operating and growing for the next 12 months. The organizing team is extremely pleased with the result of the 2016 fundraiser and thankful to each donor.
Casa Hogar Girls a Reality!
With the success of the 6th Annual Gala Fundraiser, Casa Hogar is now equipped to move forward with the expansion of its services in the form of Casa Hogar Girls. This exciting project will reunite brothers and sisters further contributing to its sense of family.
To champion this effort, Casa Hogar has partnered with the architectural design program of a local university, ITES, to design new girls’ facility. In their final semester of studies, seven students will work together to create a site-analysis and independently for the pre-design, schematic design and executive project phases.
The excellent partnership brings this project full circle – with young men and women from the community serving a younger generation of boys and girls. Casa Hogar Girls will be built in stages, with the infrastructure to care for many girls in need. Schematic designs will be submitted in June 2016 with construction initiating in the fall of 2016. To learn more, please contact Executive Director, Jayson Stirrup
(firstname.lastname@example.org) who is eager to further share this vision with Casa Hogar supporters.
