Earlier this year, a local high school student, Genna reached out to Jayson at Casa Hogar with the desire to conduct painting classes. Her idea was to auction the paintings in the local community in benefit of Casa Hogar. 2 weeks later a representative from a US-based company, ProEquities contacted Jayson with the “crazy idea” of sponsoring art classes and conducting an auction for their incentive group participants set to travel to Los Cabos in April. It all came together wonderfully.
Local artist Ivan Guaderrama was contacted and he generously donated 5 pieces to be featured in the auction. The kids and teens had a blast learning to paint on canvas and the group attendees from ProEquities generously contributed to Casa Hogar through the auction. Best of all, the painting classes will continue weekly and more beautiful paintings will be created to adorn the walls of Casa Hogar.
Thank you Ellen Michael and the ProEquities family, Ivan and Imelda, Genna and her mother Edna (our amazing new Painting Teacher and her team) as well as Papeleria & Arte Vanessa and J.W. Marriott. Well done!
